I'm going to take a quick break from posting fall minis to share some photos from a crazy trip up the mountains to Blowing Rock, NC a couple weeks ago. The colors on the trees were so stunning on our drive up the canyon, but as soon as we hit Blowing Rock we ran into the thickest fog I've ever seen. I don't think I've ever seen fog like that during the middle of the day. It was so incredible! I'm a big fan of cloudy days and fog. In fact, I would just love to have a session in the type of fog we encountered in Blowing Rock. It was eerie, Halloween-y, and just so perfectly fall. So of course I was having the time of my life photographing my kids (and nephews and nieces) having the time of their lives playing the mounds of leaves. What an amazing memory we'll always have!
I feel like a broken record with all of my blog posts because every family I photograph is beautiful. The Maloufs are no exception. I got to photograph their family almost a year ago when their littlest was just a fresh newbie! She has grown into the happiest little thing, and her big sister is as sassy and sweet as ever.
Their session is what I would call a perfect lifestyle fall family session. Truly. So much love in these photos!
After getting to the beach and taking off my lens cap, my lens filter got super foggy because the camera was cool from being the AC'd car and the beach air was humid and warm. I decided to take a few quick shots of Rachel to see how it would turn out and I just love the effect of the lens fog!
